Marty is the Senior Vice President of Energy & Digital Solutions at AlphaStruxure. He leads the solution architect, technical portfolio, and IT/OT (information and operations technology) team. He coordinates the scope of internal and customer technical project solutions and digital offerings, and is responsible for the digital strategy, logistics design, including software, hardware, control platforms and cyber operations. His team develops solution architectures and consultations to optimize integration of products, engineering, and digital applications, answering specific segment and customer needs.
Marty has over 25 years of experience primarily within energy businesses. Before joining AlphaStruxure, Marty worked at ABB Electrification as a Solution Architectures and Product Management Global VP, where he drove development and delivery of innovative and unique electrification solution architectures consisting of the integration of three main components (products, engineering, and digital) into one deliverable to provide the customer with a segment specific solution instead of an individual product purchase.
Marty also worked at GE, Industrial Solutions, where he managed portfolio launches from core design through ERP deployment and sales, and developed complex systems and applications including automation, electronics, software, switching, grid connectivity, and communications covering a broad spectrum of clients and industries from rapid transit electric vehicles to data centers to utilities and renewables.
He holds a master’s degree in Engineering Management (MEMP) from Duke and a BSME from North Carolina State University. He is also a member of the Duke University Industrial Board of Advisors and Venture Mentor for several entrepreneurial development groups.
