As Chief Executive Officer of Flexential, Chris Downie is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and leading its external-facing priorities—including customer and partner relationships, investor engagement, and long-term growth planning. He works closely with the leadership team to ensure continued alignment across brand, financial strategy, and platform development.
Chris joined Flexential in 2016 and has guided the company through a period of significant expansion and transformation, positioning Flexential as a trusted provider of secure, scalable hybrid IT infrastructure across North America. Under his leadership, the company has deepened its presence in key markets, grown its national data center and network footprint, and strengthened its reputation with enterprise customers and industry partners.
Before joining Flexential, Chris served as Chief Executive Officer of Telx Holdings, a leading interconnection and data center provider based in New York. He brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in finance, operations, and infrastructure services, with earlier roles at Bear Stearns, Daniels & Associates, BroadStreet Communications, and Motient Corporation.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in international business from New York University.
